Our Services

We treat and offer consultations on a vast array of neurological conditions, including the after-effects of stroke and traumatic brain injuries, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, neuromuscular disorders, Parkinson’s disease and other movement disorders.

Learn about Neurology

Our neurosurgeons focus on spine health and movement disorders, particularly as it relates to the use of deep brain stimulation as a treatment option. General neurosurgical care will also be provided. Some patients who are having neurosurgical procedures at the VCU Health downtown campus may enjoy the convenience of receiving their pre- and post-operative care at the Neuroscience, Orthopaedic and Wellness Center.

Movement involves every bone, muscle, tendon and joint in the body — and Orthopaedics is involved in every move you make. Orthopaedic services offered range from treating a ruptured tendon from a soccer game; to helping slow or stop the processes of osteoporosis; to preparing patients for knee, hip and shoulder replacement and other orthopaedic surgeries — and then following our patients throughout therapy and rehabilitation.

Rheumatology is often thought of as primarily focused on arthritis, but the specialty actually deals with a much larger issue: the auto-immune processes that attack joints and soft tissues. Conditions such as lupus can result in inflammation and pain — sometimes for no obvious reasons. Rheumatologists are problem-solvers, working with our other specialists, finding the root causes of often mysterious aches and pains.

Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation

Our Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation physicians focus their practice on sports and spine injuries, working hand in hand with their surgical partners in Orthopaedics and Neurosurgery along with our rehabilitation services. The team provides nonsurgical interventions for pain management.
